About Me
I'm originally from De Soto, Missouri, about an hour south of St. Louis.
From 2013 to 2017, I attended Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. Following a brief stint playing football, I joined the Alpha Gamma Rho (agricultural) fraternity, for which I currently serve as the alumni board president, and met my wife Kassidy.
After graduating from Truman, I worked for Post Holdings in St. Louis while my wife finished pharmacy school. We adopted our dog (and running partner) Cato, a husky-shepherd mix.
In 2020, I started in the Economics Ph.D. program at Iowa State University. For two years, I served as an officer for the Economics Graduate Student Association at Iowa State. In 2023, I had the privilege of being a Farm Foundation Ag Scholar.
Since August 2025, I've been an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Southern Indiana's Romain College of Business.
My hobbies, when time allows, include CrossFit, fishing, hunting, and wrenching on my Miata. I'm a history buff, (very) amateur metalworker, certified shade tree mechanic, general tinkerer, and Eagle Scout.
